Clean Finishes, Cleaner Planet: How Master Finish Honors Earth Day Every Day

by | Apr 15, 2025 | General | 0 comments

At Master Finish Company, Earth Day is more than a calendar event—it’s a reflection of our daily values. For decades, we’ve been committed to not only producing beautifully plated parts, but doing so in a way that respects and protects our environment. That commitment shows up in our investments, our systems, and even in the water that leaves our plant.

Environmental Stewardship is in Our DNA

We take pride in being responsible stewards of the environment. From leadership to the shop floor, sustainability is part of our culture. Our team regularly discusses our environmental impact and how we can reduce it. This isn’t just talk—it’s action.

We actively seek out ways to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower emissions. From optimizing our processes to upgrading systems, every decision is made with both performance and the planet in mind.

ISO 14001 Compliant: Setting the Standard

We don’t just strive to meet industry standards—we aim to exceed them. Our Environmental Management System is fully ISO 14001 compliant, meaning we meet globally recognized benchmarks for managing environmental responsibilities in a systematic and sustainable way.

Compliance is a promise to our customers, employees, and community that we take environmental management seriously.

Air, Water, and the Details In Between

We’re known for our attention to detail—and that extends beyond our products. We are just as meticulous with our air and water emissions as we are with the finishes that leave our facility. Every part is treated with care, and so is every drop of water that moves through our plant.

In fact, we like to say: Our water is so clean, fish can live in it.

And we mean it literally.

As a living example of our environmental integrity, Galvanno, our corporate goldfish, named after a satin nickel color from General Motors, swims in the wastewater discharged from our plant. He serves as a visible, real-time reminder of the effectiveness of our treatment processes and our commitment to clean water.

Looking Ahead, Leading by Example

This Earth Day, we’re proud to share the progress we’ve made—but we’re even more focused on the work ahead. Sustainable manufacturing isn’t a destination, it’s an ongoing journey. We’re continually evaluating new technologies, methods, and materials to further reduce our footprint while continuing to deliver top-quality decorative finishes.

Because to us, a clean finish isn’t just about appearance—it’s about doing the right thing for the environment, every single day.

Happy Earth Day from all of us at Master Finish.
